Daily Snapshots – June 21, 2016

Today’s Daily Snapshots:

  • Monkey House Games have released the original edition of Jeff Dee’s and Jack Hermans’ Villain & Vigilantes on DriveThruRPG [AL] and RPGNow [AL].  The classic superhero system is a 40-page PDF and costs $6.25.
  • Wizards of the Coast have release the World Builder’s Guidebook on DriveThruRPG [AL] and RPGNow [AL]. The 96-page supplement for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2e provides rules and mechanics for creating unique fantasy settings and worlds, and costs $4.99.
  • Wizards of the Coast have also released FRS1 The Dalelands today on DriveThruRPG [AL] and RPGNow [AL]. This 64-page module is the first series that explored The Forgotten Realms, with others following using a different coding scheme. It costs $4.99.
  • The latest Bundle of Holding comprises a collection of Mongoose Publishing’s Legend, it’s successor to RuneQuest II. A revision of the rules, and a reformatting of the form factor, this version of the game removes all references to Glorantha completely and makes the game truly standalone, and was licensed under the OGL. The Starter Collection costs $5.95 and provides everything needed for players, while the Bonus Collection, which is available after beating the threshold, includes a number of other supplements including monster and setting books.
  • Over at Blog of Holding, there’s an interesting post looking at adventure layout construction and why annotating them may be advantageous. This dovetails in with a post that Matt Finch made about where to start with adventure design.
