The Giant Oak has stood for millennia, and a carved stair to act as a look-out has been inside the tree for centuries. In the last two hundred years, a couple of secluded chambers were carved out of the crag above the River Mulding, and a rope bridge constructed between the entrance and the top of the Giant Oak. A great retreat, and almost impossible to attack once the rope bridge is cut.
Many thanks, and take care,
