Courtney Campbell looks at the large changes to magic users in Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition

Courtney Campbell, who runs the Hack & Slash bloghas taken a look at some of the changes that come with magic in the latest edition of Dungeons and Dragons and highlighted some major changes from the way magic in that game runs from previous editions of the game. Chief among these changes are some of the limitations now placed upon spells so that many spells that were able to be cast concurrently can no longer, all down to a new Concentration mechanic, and the fact that spells can no longer be interrupted. Courtney has a few other things to say about the changes as well, and his analysis is an interesting read, particularly if you want a quick rundown on what makes 5th different from older versions without slogging through the Basic PDF that was released last week.
